This afternoon Tal and I were playing fetch in the yard. We didn't go to the park because it was pretty hot today (95) so I settled for a few mini fetch sessions in the shade area in my backyard.
The guy next door with the two Pits he keeps chained up was out with one of them trying to get him to fetch. I couldn't see thru my fence (6' privacy type) but I could hear the guy yelling at the dog. Then when he chained it up again definitely not a gentle voice.
To top it off, about that time Tal was fetching his ball close to the fence and he gives me this look like "Gee, dad, you would never talk to me that way". I couldn't help but squat down and open my arms and of course he came running to me. Tail wagging, of course.
Still will never understand why people will get a dog and isolate it. Makes no sense to me.
