Rookie is home with his mama.....
I picked up my little man from the surgeon today. When the vet tech brought him down the hall and said, "who's that?" and he looked up and saw me there...he hauled ass to try and get to me...well...haul-hobbled to me. He isn't using his back leg at all right now, and it has a bright green bandage wrapped around it. He has a patch of hair on his butt gone because they tried to give him an epidural, one on his right forearm for the iv, and he has a pain patch on his shoulder that will stay for another couple of days. Stitches come out in 10 days, strict rest for 7...and then we can start adding more activity as time passes....but slowly. He's on 3 pain meds (2 pills and the pain patch) for this week...and then only rhimadyl as needed after that.
I am very happy to have my boy back. Thanks for all of the good thoughts you guys! We appreciate it!
