    DefaultLeaving Tucker for 4 days

I am leaving my boy for 4 days and leaving for a wedding out of state. I am worried about his training, behavior and that he will be ok. :-\

Who's going to take care of Tucker while you're gone?

We are leaving him with my in-laws while I am gone. He gets along really well with them, they go for daily walks, and they are at a campground while their house is being redone.

Sounds like Tucker will be well taken care of and will have a blast! If grandparents to furkids are anything like grandparents to kids, they will spoil the hell out of him.....I doubt 4 days will be long enough for total regression ;D ..... although he may get used to getting tons of treats!

Actually, I learned a few hours ago that they will be going to the Big E and leaving Tucker with a stranger (that she knows from work) for 3 hours. Why is it that people think its ok to do these things without telling us? Frustrated...

As far as the training and all goes he will be fine. Tal was about that age when I had jury duty last November and a friend of mine house sat for me and took care of him. Tucker will be fine.

Just focus on what a great homecoming it will be!

Tucker will be spoiled rotten....look at the having someone puppy sit this way....instead of leaving him home alone crated or 3 hours (which lets face it we all do) they cared enough about him to arrange for a sitter....true grandparents.

Don't worry about training relapses. 4 days is not nearly enough for anything drastic to happen. Think of it as a good training experience. Dogs who get used to being left with others as puppies adapt much more easily in such situations as adults.
