as you may already know-earlier this week we had to take our kitten to the vet for an obstruction. he had emergency surgery and is now fine. that little adventure cost us $1400 but he is well worth it. this all happened last week end when we went up to seattle for a couple of nights.
well, today boone came down with kennel cough and back to the vet we went. another $91. on vet bills and medicine. we are not real happy about all the money going out for vets but what do you do? thankfully, boone doesn't have an obstruction like i had feared.
to top it all off, it is my hubby's birthday today but i am not comfortable leaving boone home for any length of time so the birthday plans had to be changed. boy oh boy--what a life !!! hopefully this is the last of it for awhile....
Hopefully the worst is over and you won't have any more emergency vet visits.
It does seem to happen all at once, doesn't it? I feel your pain. My cat just got over a UTI and then Haylee had kennel cough. A cat I had, named Nikki, unknown to us, swallowed a lego -- we didn't know at the time what he had swallowed -- we just knew he had something small and yellow in his lower intenstines -- $2,000 later we found out what it was! I told him he had already used up 8 of his 9 lives and that he better be a good boy! He was and I miss him. Hang in there, it will be fine.
Oh, I know what you mean. Angus' tumor set us back $1,000, plus another $500 for the staging the other day.
I am just praying for well boys for a while. It really can deplete your funds very quickly. :-\

Sorry to hear about all the vet visits. Things always seem to happen at the same time. Hopefully everyone will stay healthy.
