DefaultEEEEEEEE! Almost better than a new pup!

Paddy is now letting me get those talons of his into shape! After the initial big confrontation about a month ago, I creep up on one nail a night. He's backed off from his rabid dog routine to a pretty lame lip raising show of indignity.

But his front toes are looking SO much better! Do I detect him shifting his weight a little bit differently on them? Why, I believe I do! More "uppies", if you will.

This pleases me immensely. For him, not for me.

Yay Nance! Paddy will feel so much better with shorter nails

I never ever thought I'd have a dog that I couldn't clip. Enter Remington. He's horrible.

However, I get his grandma to hold a big spoon with peanut butter all over it and he licks away while I clip away.

I've actually even clipped one of his nails while he was standing on the toe. I just slipped the clipper under the nail and clipped. He was so surprised

    Where there's a will, there's a way!!!

Good for you, you're so sneaky!!! Barnsley used to let me clip his fine and then he decided it was a big game to try and get away from me. Now I sit on the floor and hold him between my legs while he lays on his back and try to manage him. I tried the nice approach without much progress and sometimes it just needs to get done.

I have the same problem with Moose. I really didn't think there was going to be any way it would ever happen. I was really spoiled with Archie being so good with it. I've been working with him and he's gotten soooo much better so it's possible

Probably my proudest training accomplishment to date

    WTG Nance!

I have given up and will just take Billie to daycare and let the groomers there do hers. I consider it a major accomplishment that I am able to clean her ears. Her toes are out of my realm.

Paddy, you keep letting your momma do your toes!!
