DefaultAngus' staging is tomorrow UPDATE 1

I just dropped Angus off. He was so scared I hate seeing him like that. He's been very skittish about the vet ever since the surgery. He went to get on the scales and went flat on his belly. :'(

It is so hard leaving him there when he's afraid.

He's supposed to be finished by noon at the latest. Kevin will pick him up and take him home, and Mom volunteered to sit with my baby for a while after he comes home.

I so hope everything goes OK. I'm nervous now.

    ********

Angus goes to the vet tomorrow morning for his staging. Please say a little prayer that all will go well! I'm going to be a nervous ninny, I'm sure. :-[

What they will be doing is blood tests, urinalysis (oh, that reminds me I need to collect one tomorrow morning), aspirating lymph nodes, spleen and liver, and ultrasound. He will have a light sedative, acepromazine or something like it, to keep him calm, but will not be put under anesthesia.

I am really hoping for a great report.

They have talked about wanting to do this every few months for a couple of years, but I'm not sure I really see the point in this. If he had a high mitotic index (if the cells had been dividing rapidly), I think I would see more of a need. But every few months for something that didn't *sound* like it was very aggressive, coupled with the fact that general thinking seems to dictate that if these don't recur in the same spot within six months they are considered "cured," then it really sort of sounds like overkill to me. ??? But I figured, let's do it once and see what we find, then we can discuss it from there.

I don't know. I just hope all comes out nice and clean tomorrow.

He is starting fall classes tonight I'm taking him this week, Simon next week.

Oh, I see. I thought maybe you were having someone come in to decorate him because you were putting him on the market.

Lots of good thoughts for a completely unremarkable report!! Hope everything goes smoothly and without stress.

Nathan! You should hear how hard I'm laughing!

Kevin: "What are laughing at? ???"

    Funny!

You remind me so much of my sister. That sounds EXACTLY like something she would say.

Concentrated thoughts for good results!!! It sounds like it would be really expensive to keep getting him tested over and over - hopefully the results from tomorrow will be good enough that you don't feel the need. (((((Hugs))))))
