I took Mickey out on the deck to groom off some of his shedding coat. After a half an hour, and still no end in sight, I needed a break. I had to vacuum the diningroom anyway, sooo....
Mickey seemed to love it, he was doing circles and going wild! Normally he's terrified of the thing, but I guess he got tired of the slicker brush too. Am I a horrible for taking a very lazy way out of his daily brushing? (BTW, I used the circular brush attachment thingie, so it didn't pull his hair or suck his skin in...I'm not suicidal! ;D )
Su does that to the dogs if he is vaccuming....they are so curious so he vacuums them..Dakota hates it....but Denali loves it...
Bess tolerated or maybe even liked it. Puff crawls under the bed if I try.

No you're not horrible. People vacuum their horses and cattle for show all the time. Why not dogs? If he tolerates it, I say go for it. It's going to get vacuumed up anyway...might as well skip a step if you can!
I dont vacuum Breed because she has very short fur .. Sparrow I probably will... My mom vacums her lab Max all of the time.. Its not horrible, its actually very common
Oh good, I don't feel so bad then. I was surprised that he was happy to have it done, he even did a butt-tuck. I suspected that he was no fan of the slicker, and I've tried almost everything else, so if he continues to tolerate this I'll stick with it.
We have a portable dog wash here in town. Guy pulls a trailer rigged with water, water heater, generator, dog washing station, etc.. He comes right to you house to wash the dogs. He has a gentle vacuum that he uses. He says he has done over 1,000 dogs and never been bit.
Some times I vacuum the dogs. But most the time I just use the zoom groom! I use the zoom groom on the cats too... The cats dont care for the vacuum :
I wish I could vacuum Billie. Maybe if we had a quieter vacuum...
Ours loves to be vacuumed. As soon as she hears the vacuum go on she's there in a flash begging for a turn. We actually bought a special doggy attachment/brush for our vacuum.
