pups who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I hope it doesn't upset anyone, but thought it would be nice to remeber them today and share a special memory we have.
Three years ago I was given a huge bucket of the latest daffodils. Too many to count.
I picked the spot by the purple irises, dug it, manured it, and planted them. They couldn't grow fast enough. I could see the yellow heads and hear the aws and ahs from friends.
A few days later I saw a bulb on the deck. Must have dropped it. Later I saw some on the path , then more. That Kassa Bella had dug up the whole garden. Some were chewed,( resulting in a vet visit) or the sun had dried them. While I ranted she stood there with those beautiful eyes asking "Did I do it wrong Mum". I couldn't be annoyed for long.
I found as many as I could and replanted them.
Of course I never received any aws and ahs and Kassy never told me where she put the rest. Gone forever no doubt. This time of year always brings back the memory.
Yesterday I was digging up some daisys that were over growing that path and what do I see. Drifts of daffodils. All I could do was stand there with a tear and say "Oh Kassy, this is where you put them."
Last week a friend said "Kassy will always be your favourite." I had to stop and think. That monkey somehow knows.
It is also daffodil week in N.Z. to mark cancer awareness.
Kassa loved flowers. Always picked the heads off. After I took this pic many were headless. ;D
Awwwwwwwww ......... I don't have the time to see all the posts here, especially the rainbowbridge section . So I would like to pay tribute here to all those wonderful labbies ( and all other doggies) that have gone before us to pave the way to something better for everyone. I know that we all miss our wonderful friends who have gone before us very much, but I know that they are with us in spirit and in a happy place.
Kassa was a very special girl Chris. I know all of our lab friends at the bridge are keeping each other company. None of them will ever be forgotten.
I can see Kassa and Shadow in the meadow at the bridge, Kassa picking the flowers and Shadow picking apples and strawberries. Those two girls are having a ball! ;D

Oh Chris, she knew how she would find you for many year to come.
Chris, my eyes are stinging and I have a huge lump in my throat. What a beautiful story. Kassa lives in my heart forever now, you know.
Well, you also know I could go on for pages about Crash. He will always be my favorite too...no question about that. There was something almost magical about him. It's so funny, but even while he was here I knew he was extremely special. I would sit and watch him sleep, and think, "I am so lucky." I always knew it, but I didn't *really* know it until the boys came along. While I love them both so dearly, they have also, in a way, served to underline Crash's special qualities. There will never be another.

What a great story.... I like to think that ALL of our JL Bridge dogs are all up there together raising heck. They have their own special posse and are keeping each other company.
A lovely tribute Chris
