Cinnamon has been around little kids before but never for more than a few minutes and rarely on her own turf.
Our old next door neighbor had promised to paint the new carport ceiling before they moved. Well it has been a couple of months but he did it this weekend. So today his wife and their 3 children between 3 and 6 were here for 3 hours. As they are staying with great grandma who doesn't let them run around a lot they were very hyper. They played in the pool for the 1st hour and inside for 2 more then back to the pool for the last 1/2 hour.
Well other that conning the kids into feeding her their candy, a eating whole pack of dog treats in 2 minutes and a few peanut butter and crackers she was great with them. She shared her toes, played with them the whole time.. pulled them across the pool, retrieved for them...played tuggie 3 against one and won pulling them around the family room. She only knock one down and was when she turned around and hip checked the 3 year old because she didn't know where he was. She never jumped on any of them, never nipped a finger, no growls or barks just lots happy lab tail wags.
She never went near the door when they left it open and thought mooching them and playing chase were the best. She has been napping for 4 hours since they left....this is better for getting a tired lab then doggie daycare.
good girl Cinnamon! It can be somwhat scary letting your Lab play with kids if they haven't had alot of experience with little ones...I know, Lucy has had very little contact with small children. The few times we have, she has been a very good girl. Granted she was on leash the whole time, but I was surprised by her restraint.
HA! Sounds like she had a really great day with the kids.
And where are the Pics? ;D Good girl Cinnamon.

Good girl Cinnamon! It has been my experience also that they are gentle with children and elderly people.
Good Girl Cinnamon.
Oh fun! Sometimes I think labs don't know how big they are around the little ones. I'm glad she didn't knock anyone over.
What a good girl!
