Has anybody heard anything about how Aly is dong.. I cant find anything since Friday Night.
Hi Eric...thanks for asking about us.
We don't have much to update. She threw up a bit on Saturday morning, but we fed her some rice for breakfast anyway because we figured she might be throwing up out of hunger. Saturday afternoon she had two very strange poops, one right after the other. The first one was black and kind of tar-like, and the second was mustard yellow and red, about 10 seconds later. Saturday evening we added some chicken to her rice, and again this morning she had the same. She is eating with vigor. She has not pooped today at all yet. I'm worried, of course, because her poop is so strange. It is hard to judge if maybe she just isn't pooping because we have her on such a limited diet right now. It is common that when one of them gets put on chicken and rice, that they don't poop as often.
If we don't see a poop today, we'll call the vet in the morning.
Thank you for the continued good wishes.

Throw the ball, damn it!
It sounds similar to what we've experienced with Theo when he's had gastroenteritis. I would definitely take her in if you continue to see red or black in the stool (black could be oxidized blood). I'm glad she's eating well, though. Does she have a fever? Continued good thoughts for her.
You might want to bag up samples of those weird poops, for the vet to look at. He may be able to tell something from them. Still praying for Aly!

Thanks for the uopdate. FYI some meds like pepto bismal for example, can cause weird color poops. You may just want to call and ask.
Yeah, Pepto makes for some very dark poos. But as Nathan said, it could be blood from higher up in the tract too. Either way, sounds like a very good sign that she's eating well!
I know we can go for almost two days without a poo when someone has had a bad diarrhea episode. So, try not to worry too much. You're a good mommy.

Hope Aly is feeling better soon....I know when we give Cinnamon Pepto her poop is tar black but the red concerns me.
Jenn, just seeing this now. How's Aly?
Hope she's doing ok. Scary stuff, these tummy issues.
Hoping she is doing better today.
