    DefaultRuby's Personality

We are starting to see Ruby's personality come out...
and...this little girl is a TRIP.

First of all..she is nothing like Aidan. Aidan is Mr Mellow...very laid back, nothing phases him. He is a wonderful retriever but would choose a lap just as happily as he would a duck. He is our snuggler and LOVES his boy and Katie.

Emma is miss "field bred" personified....drive drive drive, always on the go. Affectionate on her terms, very devoted to me especially. Happiest when she is working on heels, retrieves, etc.

Ruby...how to even describe this little spitfire.
She is NO joke first of all...she will take on both older dogs without even thinking about it. If she has something on her mind, there is NO distracting her. She wants it and wants it NOW. She is fearless. She is bold. She is so smart, it's scary. She problem solves...you can see the wheels turning in her head.
She can be a little bitch if she wants to be! If you're annoying her and she is set on something she keeps at it until she gets what she wants.
She will march up to Aidan and own him(as Jeffrey calls it)...jump on his head and take what he has right off of him.
She knows sit...down...and we are working on stay.
She knows where we keep the treats and will come over to you, sit and then stare at the treat jar, look back at you like " Come on!!! IM SITTING! Get busy passing out those treats, man!" lmbo!

She is just SO different than our other 2 labs and it's so much fun to see "her" coming out.
She is also a fish...she wants to be eating, sleeping or swimming. There is no stopping her.
We are having so much fun with her.

But...she will sit on Katie's bed and allow her to dress her in outfits, she snuggles up and puts her head on your shoulder when she is tired.Gives kisses like a mad woman when she is happy. She is Miss Happy Go Lucky but...dont mess with her!

LOL!! She sounds a bit like how Abby was when she was a puppy. So glad you guys are enjoying her. I wonder who she takes after out of the Kelrobin herd?

    Susan,

Miss Ruby sounds like she is fitting in just fine at your zoo!! I can not wait to meet the little spitfire. Though from the sounds of her, she may have just a tab bit of Shanny in her.

Wonder how much longer she is going to be so laid back about Katie dressing??

    My pretty girl, Lexi!

(P.S. Your Emma sounds like my Bailey, but more devoted to my DH then me. )

How adorable it is amazing to watch them grow up. It amazes me how different they are too Mocha and Zeus are nothing alike temperment wise. Mocha is a lot like Ruby she's a problem solver, and very stubborn if she wants something there is no stopping or distracting her. Zeus is my laid back buy although he's starting to learn how to bark and stuff from Mocha.
