We just came in from playing in the kiddie pool. What a riot Caleb is- chasing the hose, "munching" his way up the stream of water, digging in the pool (and soaking Mom in the process), bobbing for doggie hot dogs, and, the newest thing today- chasing bubbles. You'd think that'd be enough "puppy enrichment" for awhile, but nooo. Now the little Stink Pot is racing from one end of the house to the other with a squeaky toy. What a nut!
I wanna go play outside. Damn the heat advisory you just made that sound like fun!
Shadow used to have a blast playing in her pool, just like Caleb. It had little critters on it and she'd try to dig them up, barking at them like crazy and throwing water everywhere. She'd stick her whole head underwater, then lie down and roll over. Shadow was so clean all summer long!
Buddy wants nothing to do with his pool. :-\

I know that squeaky toy way! With the heat around here I need to get Tal a ool. I stopped by Wal Mart eariler and they were out of them...hhhmmmm...wonder why??
Sounds like someone is enjoying puppyhood.
Does Fisher price still make the turtle sandbox? My daughter had one when she was little (she's 15 now). After she outgrew it, I would fill it with water for Callie and it became hers. Not sure how much they cost, but they might be easier to find right now than the kiddie pools.
I searched Walmart, Target, and KMart for a plastic kiddie pool None and no sign that they ever had any. The vinyl blow ups are too popular. But I found them at Petsmart, Petco, and a local pet shop. I bought the first one I saw when at Petsmart, and just noticed them at the other places. Why do we always find what we are looking for in the last place we look?

Although I don't miss the whining and the poop, I do miss those puppy days.
Ah, life with a lab. I wonder if other breed puppies are as much fun as labs?Because then we stop looking?? ;DOriginally Posted by Endofile
