    Defaultblowing her coat

    now how long does it take for dogs to blow there coat. is it a seasonal thing? because lola is shedding like crazy its like i furmanate her like 2 times a day and its a crap load of hair. i can make like a wig with her hair. so is anyone going through this right now maybe can help me out.

    We've just been through that and I guess it was a couple of weeks. I've got two yellows though, and I'm not sure if they were both blowing coat at the same time or one blew and then the other took over, so you may be lucky and find it's shorter.

    I think I lucked out on this one with my chocolate. Not too bad. My shepherd on the other hand --- I could build a new dog every time I brush her out.

    yea thats the way shes been. and i would say it been about 2-3 months and shes still shedding like crazy. is it different since its summer her in california. maybe that might help it a to.

    Right in the middle of the big blow here too. Been going on for over a month. Advice........yep.....keep on vacuuming!

    Yup, it has been going on here for about 2-3 months with Rowan as well.

    Swiffer, zoom and groom,vaccuum... repeat....repeat... repeat...LOL!

    Got one here too. Skippy blew his coat a month or 2 ago, but his coat is lighter. Emilu is in the middle of a blow now, and she has a very heavy coat. I brush, and rinse and zoom groom and curry comb, and have found that just running my fingers through her coat over and over gets as much out as anything. I have a show this weekend and she looks like she has mange on her back legs with uneven fur tuffs hanging on. Thanks goodness it's not conformation!
