Does the color of a puppies eyes change as they develop? When he was a baby his eyes looked just straight black, now it looks as if they are getting more color in them. His parents have an orangish eye and red eyes.
Are these purebred labs we're talking about?? I've never seen red or orange...and I'm not sure I'd want to
My chocolates went from light green to brown eyes as they grew up. My blacks went from dark, almost black eyes to brown eyes as they grew up. Everyone had nice brown eyes by about 3 months.
Yes definitely pure bread labs. When I say orange I guess I mean the same color eyes as your lab. One of the guys here has a avatar or a signature with the red eyes I am talking about.
Simon's eyes have an orange-ish hue...I know what you're talking about.
Angus' eyes were blue when he first came home, then they became a light brown and deepened as he got older.

Gone ahead, but forever in my heart:
Crash, Pit Bull x Rottweiler x Golden Retriever
Jake is not purebred (well, we don't know WHAT he is). We got him (or he got US) at around 4 1/2 months. His eyes have always been this color. I'm thinking this is what you mean by orange-ish? I love Jakes eyes - they captivate me.
Enzo's eyes were almost solid black when I got him but I've noticed they are getting a tab lighter as he gets older.
Yeah they definitely get lighter as a lab get older, but I'm sure if they change colors.
I always thought Maggie's eyes looked yellow with orange rims.
*waves the smelling salts under nicole's nose*
Bet you didn't know your dogs had orange and red eyes, eh Nicole? LMBO!!!
