Defaultbreeders esp. - is ribcage swing normal?

Usually, Buddy walks beside (on leash) or behind me, but I have noticed when he walks in front of me that his rib cage swings from side to side as he walks, although his shoulders and hips stay pretty even. Is this normal, or is it something I should have checked? Shadow had a little swing to her rib cage, but not as much as Buddy does. Is it more pronounced because he is longer in the body and the legs than she was?

I hope it is normal---cause Phoebe does it also. It keeps this certain rhythm about it---left, right, left, right like it has it's own agenda. LOL!

I hope it's normal, because Henery has it too! I call it his sashaying...

I notice it more when he walks alongside his "cousin", my SIL's sister's chocolate lab.

Haha! Even as old as Paddy is, he still "sashays". Nearly bends himself in two just strolling along. I call it body rhythm.

The first time I noticed Tal doing that I thought oh no...but a friend of mine's 9 y/o Golden did it and she is in excellent health so I figured it must be normal. I would have looked really smart if I had taken him to the vet about it!

BTW, when he runs no sway!

    Yes, running corrects it!

Angus does it too. And I will fess up and say yes, I have been worried about it on and off also!

Simon walks straight as an arrow. Angus does the full body-bend.

    Crash was a bender too.
