I am posting the same message on MySpace:
We are home!! He is as drugged up as ever. It took two people to get him into the car. When we got home, there wasn't a soul around to help me. He refused to try to get out. I got in the back seat to try to help him up and I got stuck!! It was my son's car and it is so low to the ground I thought it would make things easier. Well, low isn't good for me and if we were any lower, we'd be fighting ants in the road for the right of way. My back just about went to Hell. We both stayed there - stuck - while I made several calls for help. Finally I got one neighbor who was all dressed up and on his way out the door with his wife and new baby. He realized what was happening and he got both of us out. I got Bud into the house and into his bed in my room by myself, straddling him and trying to hold the towel that was under him high enough to keep his rear legs off the ground. We both sank to the floor on his futon mattress. He is whimpering, moaning and crying which he always does at this stage of the game. I crawled over to the computer to send this message and highly doubt I will be on any more tonite.
He has staples that will be removed in 10-14 days and lots of meds I haven't even looked at yet. They want to do a biopsy of the meniscus. I have no idea if this is normal and am a little worried about it.
Thank you all again for all your prayers and good wishes. I have to back to my spot on the floor now. Hopefully he will be a little more like himself in the morning.
Thank you all again and again and again...................
