After reading linda saying her dog ate a whole apple pie it made me think it would be a good question. My Troy ate a whole pan of chocolate brownies with chocolate chips in them. And they aren't supposed to eat chocolate. Right? He also ate $45.00 worth of pansies that were just planted. He's eaten a lot of tools too. :
When Shadow was a pup, she'd eat any kind of paper she could get hold of - tissues, books, magazines, catalogues, Reader's Digest ...
Edited to add that, when I was a very dumb mommy, I left the trash bag on the floor and Shadow ate an entire medium pizza, lots of crust, and half a loaf of rye bread in one day. She didn't counter-surf or steal food until she was on Prednisone, then she stole a container of garlic butter.
Buddy eats stuffed animals, tire-biter toys, ropes, 6' leather leashes, and any food that is within reach, so I am VERY careful to make sure things are out of his reach. :-[ My dining room table and kitchen counters have never been so clear!!
Jackie, Champ, and Buddy
That reminded me that Shelly eats books and any kind of paper lying around. She is 12 and still eating books. ;D Sammie likes to eat sheets. :-\
My last lab Tucson ate an entire apple pie and a tomato, mozzarela, and basil salad for 8 people. Nellie does not counter surf but she did get an entire bottle of very hot and spicy bbq sauce that I had put on a low table next to my grill. She also ate both box springs of my king size bed and pulled out all the stuffing. lol
Think we should give a prize for best one. ;D So far pretty darn good.Come on Amy, i know Frankie has eaten something. ???
Wow, and I thought was going to be in trouble with Caleb! His attempt at counter surfing netted him a hunk of spiral cut ham in December. That was it as far as taking things off the counter. He tried a couple more times (I set him up), and got corrected. However, he has snagged a couple of things off the chest next to the couch and the table where the phone is- nail clippers, pens/pencil, a red pen and a bottle of white out. Those things he didn't eat, just crunched. The funny thing is, the pens, pencils, marker and white out were all in places they've always been, just in a different spot on the chest or table.
lets see our dogs have eaten....
any type of paper
the kids toys
fresh grilled chicken AND steak off the counter
all the food the kids smuggle to them under the table
HOT peppers right from the plant in my garden
their own vomit
and what seems to be their personal favorite
SOILED DIAPERS! (not just the potty ones eiher)
thats just to name a few ;D
One night I was prepping dinner and Willow grabbed a pork chop off the tray! I never saw a dog run and chew so fast it was gone before I could get to her luckily it was boneless.
Lucky for me willow doesn’t digest things she isn’t suppose to however it doesn’t keep her from chewing things..
I was making biscuits one night for dinner and she grabbed the dough off the table
She ate half a cake once
Cookie dough cookies of the cooling rack
Paper (all kinds)
Shoes (brand new $70.00 worn once)
Diapers (dirty ones)
Leashes she has gone through a few of them
Money (20.00 bill)
Her Plastic bone shaped toy box
May other items also!
1. A couch
3. duck from my husbands hunting trip (it was hanging on the wall!)
4. bottle of chocolate syrup
6. Cat food and cat poop
7. Steak off the grill
8. 12 pack of toilet paper
9. Dog puke
I shouldn't continue because it's boring - everyones dog eats this stuff. We learn early on to put stuff away!
Yeller once ate a bunch of bananas, 5 boxes of bran based cereals, a loaf of bread, 1/2 lb of butter, the cat's food and went through the garbage. That was all at once.
Abby ate a pork loin roast bigger then her head once. It was 8 lbs too!!! She has also eaten the couch, some shoes, her bed, toys. They've both stolen banana bread, butter, cookies, bran muffins as well.
All 3 of my labs have also eaten different part of the same pear tree. The tree survived.
Me, Abzilla and the Helomonster.
