DefaultOur scaredy cat, Bodie, protected us last night

Bodie is pretty much scared of everything, and Sam is our watchdog. If Sam barks and runs around the yard to check stuff out, Bodie stays inside until he's sure everything is ok. So it was quite a surprise when we were awakened at 2 a.m. by very loud scary "big dog" barks coming from Bodie last night. He was downstairs at the front door, and we all sleep upstairs. Sam was sleeping at our feet, and he nearly jumped out of his skin (well, we all did). Sam rushed downstairs and joined Bodie in the barking.

SU went to check it out. There was a truck with men in it parked in front of our house, and our outside faucet was running, and SU said he could smell gasoline. They drove off when SU went outside. Very weird. We just hope that it was something harmless like they had gas on their hands and were trying to wash it off. :-\ I was glad that Sam and Bodie sound pretty scary when they guard our house.

Good boy Bodie! Maybe he realized it was all up to him since everyone else was sleeping.

That's kind of scary that someone came into your yard in the middle of the night.

    Dang!! Good boy Bodie!!

Gotta love those big boy barks. Even if the dog isn't "tough" the people outside don't have to know that.

    YEAH!

I'm so thankful Labs have such big barks - from the outside, no one knows what kind of dog you have and most won't take a chance finding out.

Great job Bodie!! How scary having someone in your yard at that time of night. It only matters that the bark sounds "big"!!

Good job Bodie. My thought was that they siphoned your gas and needed to wash out their mouths if they did it the old fashioned way (sucking up through the hose).
