DefaultSick puppy... COMING HOME TODAY! (WEDNESDAY UPDATE)

Alright everyone, this must be a record time for recovery from Parvo!

He has been an angel for the vets and has not gotten sick again since we took him in. I really think we must have caught it at the very beginning.

SO HE IS COMING HOME TONIGHT AFTER WORK!! WOO HOO!!!

We have sanitized our house from top to bottom with a bleach solution, we are having all of our rugs/carpets sent to the steam cleaner, we have bleached/color safe bleached all of our laundry, and alcohol sprayed everything else.

I think it is safe to say that our house is sterile! Ha ha!

The only thing we are still getting conflicting information on is whether or not we need to BLEACH OUR YARD??!!

Can anyone tell me if we really need to do this? I mean, this would completely kill everything, including trees, in our yard.

Ugh. The vet says that is entirely not necessary, but some websites say that you MUST do this? I don't know what to do...

Anyway, HOORAY for Bailey! What a trooper!

    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If he's not drinking water then I would take him in to your Vet. Dehydration can set in fairly quickly.

I would definitely keep that appointment.

Vomiting/dry heaving can be something as little as an upset tummy, or something as "big" as Parvo and the like...

Hope it's nothing serious, keep us posted!

Definitely take him in. When they don't act 'normal' and don't drink or eat, something is wrong and it's best to get it checked.

I would take him in, especially since you already have an appointment.
How old is he? He probably shouldn't be unsupervised in the yard. You should make sure there is nothing unsafe out there.

Bailey is 5 1/2 months old.

I am taking him in today at 1PM.

Our yard is fenced and clean as a whistle, so I feel comfortable letting him roam around while I'm doing work outside, etc.

    Hoping for the best.

    thanks all.

    Great!
he spends time in the yard so I wouldn't know if he got a hold of something bad for him...
That's the only reason I said something.....
I hope he's OK, let us know.

It could be so many things. Do you have any mushrooms in the yard?

Please update us after the vet visit.
