I have found over the years of feeding some different dog foods, that my guys prefer smaller, flattish kibble. They don't like roundish kibble as well, and I had a bag of Royal Canin that is like thick donuts and they really didn't like the shape (I feel it is the shape and not the actual food, although as I was typing this I though "duh", maybe they just didn't like how it tastes!) Do your labbies seem to have a preference for a "Kibble shape"?
As far as both Shadow and Buddy cared - as long as it was kibble it could have been purple cars!

if it's edible - Rocky and Dryf will eat it
IN fact, two days ago I accidentally gave Rocky Dryf's food and he didn't skip a beat! Dryf tried repeatedly to eat Rocky food as well (I was down to my parent's place for the week, Dryf lives with them so the two don't see each other all that often)

We feed Cinnamon and Cierra the same food as Cierra likes to "eat out" when she comes over. MY BR and SIL swear she eats more here then at home. They both get morning and evening meals but as they are self regulators we always leave a cup in the bowl for a snack.
They both prefer the small flat kibble also which is good as that is how Nature's Variety Instinct comes.
Mine seem to like the flatish round type too. I've had some that was like peas, perfectly round and small, but I don't think they really cared for that as much.... it could have been the taste, but maybe not.
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
What size or shape does Angus prefer? Any size that will fit in his mouth. Or not. Really, that's not a deal-breaker.

Buddy inhales his food so fast that he has no idea what shape it is. I prefer the smaller kibble.

Boomer doesn't care what shape, as long as it's small, I think. He will not eat large chunks.
My folks Red Heeler / Border Collie mix refuses to eat a certain color. Every day, he picks out all the ones he doesn't like and then eats the rest. My mom hand feeds him the "bad" colors. It is really bizarre, as I've never seen a dog do that!!
In regard to our lot - "If you feed it - they will come". ;D :P
If it's edible, she'll eat it.
