OK, Its the 4th of July, I, like most had corn on the cob for our cook out. My dopey little lab (10 months old and 90 pounds) decided it sounded good to him too. I know that it is dangerous because it can cause a blockage, but it happened a few hours ago and he has been vomitting A LOT since. I honestly don't think that he has anything left in him. What should I do? Is there anything I should watch for?
I can't help you, but have you tried calling the emergency vet just to see what they say?
Do you know if he chewed it up in small pieces or scarfed down very large chunks? I would be worried if you know for sure he didn't chew it up into smaller pieces.
I would opt for a trip to the ER Vet and an xray. Corn cobs can be life threatening if they cause an obstruction. If there is still cobs in the stomach, they can sometimes get them with an endoscope so surgery isn't needed.
