    Defaultwashing toys?

Have you ever washed your lab stuffed toys in the washer? Do they turn out okay? Will they still squeak?

Sadie's toys need a good washing, but I don't want to ruin them.

I do - I put them in a lingerie bag and wash on gentle cycle and then air dry

they squeak just fine - only 1 or 2 have ever become water-logged and lost their squeak

I toss Lexi's right into the washer on a regular wash cycle. I only add a tiny bit of detergent and I don't use any type of fabric softener on them.

Line dry them & they are almost as good as new. Have not had any get water-logged, but have had a few that lost all their stuffing in the wash. That usually happens when there is a hole in them that I don't know about.

Me, too. Most times I do them when I'm doing dog towels, blankets, etc. I add some OxyClean to the water, and fabric softener, and rinse twice. I toss them in the dryer, too with no problems.

Yup, a good number of Lexi's still have intact squeakers. Note I did not say the squeakers work, but they are still inside. Usually she'll squeak to death, but not perform any squeaker-ectomies!
