YES it is !!!!
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
If I could open them, I would just read too. :
It took me over 20 minutes to post my thread with Ruger's pic and my new siggy pic today. It would load and I'd get the page that said DONE, and it wouldn't be there.
For me, ever since that FLICKR thing has been added to the forum, it's been terribly slow loading on my dialup at home. I wish I could disable that FLICKR thing.
I'll try to reply that I agree wholeheartedly. Is there anything being done?
I think that we all agree that the issues with posts is a bit frustrating the last few days. I am not sure how much we can complain or what we might expect to be done. Just Labs is providing us the opportunity to use this server and fast or slow, I think we would prefer slow to no server at all.
Those not interested in technical junkie food shuold probably stop reading. Everything seems to be pointing to server speed. Could just be the bandwidth of the connection they rent coupled with the number of people uploading or just reading posts and the size (in megabytes) of those posts. Pictures equate to lots of megabytes being downloaded by everyone that goes through the recent or old posts. A lot of the problem could just be our increased use of the site to track Dakota’s adventures, Labby’s pups, the breeder rights thread, and a couple others that are getting a lot of traffic. This will probably settle out as Dakota arrives at her destination, Labby’s pups go off to their new homes, and the breeder’s rights questions get understood. No one is doing anything wrong, it is just the increased level of interest in a few topics that have come together. I for one, would prefer to wait to read this stuff and comment than not to have it.
Another possibility is that the server’s HDs are just full and need to be cleaned up with some of the older material archived off somewhere. The issue for us is that what would disappear in that process. Some of the information is invaluable to newcomers like myself and others. I would hate to see it be cleaned off just because it is a year old. i.e. some of the training posts by fallriver.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
It IS frustrating!!
Sometimes it takes 4 or more tries to post. It has eaten my post so many times that now I copy it before posting it, just in case.
