I have window air conditioning units here and unknown to me the leaf thing on the left side had become detached from the a/c leaving a space. Midnight worked it until she was able to break free. So she got out...when I went outside, there she was around the corner of the house. Man did she meow when getting back inside. I have a box I packed that wedges in the space perfectly.. so she wont be escaping that way again...
Oh no. An escapee is the last thing you need just before moving. Stay put, Midnight!!

We had a cat when I lived with my ex he would slip out the door behind me without me seeing him. One night he was out all night and I heard this scratching at the door the next morning. I opened it to see what it was and he darted in he was a really antisocial cat so I hadn't even noticed he was gone (bad mom I know but he was my bf's cat so he didn't come around me much).

LOL! I dont mean to laugh but Breed used to do that all of the time.. Only the fan didnt just come loose.. She would actually Jump right through the fan to get out... My husband had to take pieces of wood to replace all the fans and keep her from getting out that way anymore.. One day she got picked up by the pound and we got a ticket from the county for "dog at large" after she jumped through the AC..
Well, she is no worse for the wear but she wants to go outside more now...but I'm better prepared now..
I'm glad she was just around the corner!
