DefaultBest way to clean fabric collars?

Kody's favorite collar from dogcollarworld.com is getting pretty dirty and I was wondering if it is okay to toss in the laundry or should I hand wash it with something? It's his blaze orange one which he wears all the time. I am just afraid of it shrinking or fading. Any info is appreciated.

Sure throw it in the laundry. Washer only, then let it air dry. I do this all the time with Elias' collars and leashes.

Yup, me too -- into the washer it goes. Riley is like a kid losing her blanky to the washer....gets worried that I put her bling-bling in a big gaping hole, never to be seen again. ;D

I have put Maggies in washer, but washer has broken plastic closure. Oh well, good excuse to buy new collar. Only happened twice in 8 years. I also don't put in dryer. I do get better results from hand washing if really dirty. I use Fantastic heavy duty kitchen cleaner and scrubber.

Same here...if there any really bad spots, I get the stain stick on it first.

Emma hatessss being without her collar. She runs around looking for it.

NOT Payton. She butt tucks around the yard if she slips her narrow little head out of it and runs for joy! ;D

Rush loves not wearing her 'necklace'. I put it in a little delicate's bag and toss it in the washer. Air dry and she is good to go.
