    DefaultDo You Have A Howler???

Remington Howls. He throws his head back and howls like an ole hound dog. He just makes me giggle. He usually does this when he's in the crate and I get home. He howls to be let out, then he's all wiggle butt.

Does your dog howl? When and why?

Yup, I got a howler.... when the fire siren goes.

I suspect it is due our house's proximity to the fire station. It is just two properties up the street, roughly 300 feet or so. Though what is really odd is she'll howl when we are home, but not when we are out walking or at my parents house.

all of Maggies litter would howl until they went home at 8 weeks then it stopped. Dakota as a puppy would howl the WHOLE time I was gone and she was in her crate. As far as I know she no longer howls when Im gone.. Jacey is very quite I just heard her bark for the first time the other night!

Jake howls when there are sirens. He's not concerned or scared or anything - just very matter of factly throws back his head and "BA-ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOs" his little heart out. It cracks me up every time

I have three siren howlers here, it's quite a concert.. Reggie however will sometimes howl when I get home and pull into the driveway. Now if I start the howling first, all three will join in just for the fun of it.

You are all talking about howling, and I always thought it was singing. Hershey Kisses and Newman sing on command. They also speak on command. I bet you guys call it Barking.

Natasha, Choclate Lab living on the other side of the creek, sings when the train, about 1 mile away, sounds its whistle. The only time she sings.

We have to have some kind of fun with it.

Our first lab, Gunner, was a siren howler. My son thought he was hilarious when he howled, so he taught him to howl on command. Travis would throw his head back and howl and then Gunner would join in.

Zoe only howls when SU plays the harmonica

If she hears a harmonica on tv or radio, she doesn't. go figure
