Has anyone actually read or used this book? Is it worth the money? Anything we wouldn't get out of Puppy or Obedience training?

Haven't read the book but what the hell is a labaner??? Author is being cutesy and trying to coin a new word here, that turns me off from the get go.

Also, labs are extremely easy dogs to train. If you've worked with any of the sporting breeds, you'll figure out what gets a labrador interested quickly... food, retrieves, praise.

I would not purchase this book. Just my opinion.

Thanks! I had similar feelings but thought I wouldlook for another opinion, or maybe an actual reader.

Never heard of it, and I agree with what kaytris and raian said. What is a labaner? the author is talking BS if you ask me. There are MUCH better books available out there. I like anything by Patricia McConnell -- 'Culture Clash', 'The Other End of the Leash', etc.

If you google labaner it is associated with terrorism and blogs of the like. Wow...someone should tell this person that they are coining a phrase that has extrememly negative connotations.

    Thanks all!

    (1) For confirming my suspicions
    (2) For the suggestions on good books

Woops -- correction on the books! 'The Culture Clash' is by Jean Donaldson, not Patricia McConnell!
