Where we take Dakota to the beach..all dogs have to be leashed..we used a thin diameter rope the other day..and it didn't work too well..kept getting tangled and it hurt when he pulled on it while we were holding it.
I need suggestions for types of rope to use when he goes into the water..any ideas?
I found a 30 foot lead I use when I go to the beach. Easy on the hands and gives him plenty of room. I paid like 6.00 for it.
I have a 30 foot lead I got at PetSmart. They also have leads that float in the water. If that is not long enough try getting a lead line from a riding store (that is in horseback riding LOL).
What Amanda said, or else visit your local tack shop for horses and get a lunge line. I got a 30foot for 3.99.
Me, Abzilla and the Helomonster.
We have a 50 footer, it's orange and easy to see. You can get them in most pet stores.

Could you tell me where you bought it? Or what it looks like..does it have a lead attachment on it for the collar?
Thank you... JackieOriginally Posted by Mambo
Marine cord floats as well....
Thanks to all who answered. I will check PetsMart..and also my SO said he could buy marine rope and put a clampy thing on the end to attach to his collar. I will try the pet store first tho.
Thanks for replying everyone!
I bought mine at walmart, Kmart has them too. The same thing at petsmart is 19.99. So check your local walmart if you can first.
Its basically just a really long leash. Looks and feels like a leash. But just really long.
Thank you Amanda! I'm headed to Wally World later today..I'll check for them!Originally Posted by Mambo
