Just curious to see how many people rescued their dog or bought their dog, because I know there are a few rescued lebs on this forum. ;D
Nick & Nora, both rescued.
One of each -- I bought Quincy as a puppy and rescued Ben in January.
Rocky was rescued (from Dani)
Dryf was rescued (we were the last stop before he was to be put to sleep)
Charlie (foster) and Rocky
Buddy and Lucy were both rescues. Heck for that matter so was my cat. :P
One each and one non-lab from the SPCA.
Blackie and Ranger ...............................Reggie: 1996-2010 "Fly Reggie Fly"
I bought Tal from a breeder. I am thinking my next one will be a rescue.
Apollo, my '75% lab' (as I like to call him ) was rescued from the local shelter.

Lexi is a rescue straight out of Lake Charles, LA!!!
Call me insane, I am contemplating rescuing a second one, definitely another rescue.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
Hershey Kisses is our 5th dog. Three were rescues, two pedigreed purchases. We love them all. The rescued muts tended to have much fewer health issue. they lived 14-18 years each. THe previous purebred, Golden Retriever female, had to be put down at 7 years with cancer. She was definitely my favorite of the first four. Hershey is only 5 months old and I am sure will take that honor. We have some training to finish, and a personality to figure out.
Hershey Kisses, In charge of getting Ed out to the dog park so that he gets some exercise.
