I was just wondering if everyone puts the ID tag, rabies tag, microchip tag, county license tag, etc. on their dogs collar or do you just put on an ID tag.
I've noticed on walks, etc. that some dogs just have an ID tag, while others have on 3 or 4.

Nope just an ID tag. The jingle jangle of all them would drive me nuts.
Nope. Henry has his ID tag which slips onto his collar (no danglies) and, if we're going out somewhere special, his Sally tag.
I carry his rabies and licence tag with me though.
Local law here says the dog has to be collared with Rabies and License. Personally, Hershey Kisses is not getting out of the house without an ID tag with our phone number. At least not until she gets chipped next month. So Hershey Kisses carries three tags!
Some day when traning is complete, she is under total voice control and never leaves the property, I may let her loose without the collar.

Just their ID and microchip tags.

Right now, 2 are on his collar..it helps to locate where he is in the house if he's moving around or playing..if I need more tags for anything..they will go on too. We have to have the local rabies license on his collar and I have an id tag on him also.
Where do you get the ID tag to slip onto his collar? I have one that rivets or gets sewn onto the collar but like the idea of a slip on style to change with each collar.Originally Posted by henrysmom
no jingle for our collars.
i have separate collars that have the rabies tag, but 99% of the time, if our dogs are wearing collars, they have their boomerang tags only. we have the interchangeable metal tags. it have our contact information on it.
