He sort of screams at them. I'm curious about who else's dog reacts like this.
Don't worry about trying to actually watch the video...it's way too dark and it's sideways...but just listen to the noises my 95 lb. lab makes. It is SO high pitched! :-\ This happens every time he sees a rabbit, squirrel or cat outside. The closer the animal is, the louder and more intense the noises become.
Nick HATES it - you can hear him totally annoyed in the video. We usually try to discourage this behavior, but I just had to get it on video - just once!
Take a listen:
Charlie Brown sounds a lot like that too.,.... and he's the only one of my 4 that does that. He seems obsessed anyhow, with birds and squirrels........ he is the one that is distracted by movement of bees, and butterflies....... he's just obsessed I always say.... and I always have to remind him, to BE QUIET !
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
Sorry, Janna. I'll have to listen tomorrow when I'm at work. My guys will go crazy if they hear a dog on the computer. :-\

Buddy has that same bark at strange animals. SU calls it his "girly bark". ;D
OMG, that is too funny! Never expected a 95lb dog to be able to make that noise.
Lexi is the complete opposite, when she spies a bunny, she goes from wild & crazy to totally quiet. She practically stops breathing and moves so slowly. I dunno, I guess she thinks not breathing and moving really slow makes a 70lb lab invisible to a bunny rabbit.
My pretty girl, Lexi!
hahaha!! you can definitely tell nick doesn't enjoy it
I didn't think a dog that big could make a noise like that :P
