    Defaultwhite marks?

I recently noticed my Chocolate has a 2"x1" white area on his tail. its not completley white but has white hairs in it. At firt I thought he biting it and turned bald. Anyway, I thought the only white allowed in AKC is on the chest to a certain size. Im not interested in showing him, I wonder if him being Field Bred rather than Show. Any comments welcome. Thanks

Mismarks are common. It has nothing to do with being field or show.

How old is he? It also isn't unusual for chocolate puppies to develop a white "ring" around their tail just a bit beyond the base. It isn't a mismark and usually goes away.
