He went in for his yearly heartworm test, and I had the vet check on some lumps he had. I was thinking they were lipomas (sp?) but I wanted to be sure. There was one on his rib cage that had me a little more troubled. It was pretty large, really hard and kind of between his ribs...very different from the other two which were pea sized and softer.
The vet tested all three and all three came back as fatty lipomas. She said that she is keeping their locations and sizes recorded and just to test them every 6 months or so just to make sure they are staying benign.
So he got poked in the leg to draw blood...poked in each bump and then I had him microchipped, something I've been meaning to do for ages and never remembered when we were at the vet. So 5 pokes...and he still LOVES the vet.
And by the way, we have the greatest vet ever. I just can't talk her up enough! No wonder he loves it there. ;D
yayyyy! That's terrific news.
That's wonderful news!!
:-* to Boomer!
good news..glad it was just a fatty tumor.
Great news that the tumours were benign. Awww Boomer, big smooches to you :-*
Glad Boomer got a clean bill of health!
glad to hear they were just fatty deposits.
Boomie you are such a good boy! Glad all went well...outside of the pokes
Sorry you were poked today, Boomer, but it sounds like you don't care. Glad to hear he's healthy.
