DefaultCenTexLabs, how are the boys today?

I checked a couple of times lastnight, looking for an update but didn't see one. How did everything go yesterday with Bo & Luke? How are they today?

Frankie is being done as I type.

They are both doing ok. We wobbled into the house, still separately, at around 5:30 yesterday. They have an incision about 2 inches up, and a small amount of skin left. Poor things.

They howled most of the night last night. They didn't want to be in the crates, and I am sure they were pretty upset that something just happened to them and they couldn't be in bed with us.

R&R for the rest of the day. Tomorrow I am going to start some high level obedience with them to keep their minds occupied. I am going to take advantage of the required downtime this weekend.

Frankie will be just fine. I am holding your hand today... ;D

    Thanks.

They took him in at 9 and it's almost 10. I wonder how long the actual procedure takes? He's also getting microchipped and they're going to check out his one ear that he keep having problems with.

They howled most of the night huh? That must have broken your heart. :'(

Amy, let us know as soon as you hear about Frankie.

    Try not to worry too much. You'll be getting kisses from your boy soon. {{hugs}}

Yea, they have an inside voice when they are wanting out of the crates. It is a low howl in unison. It is so cute, but so heart-wrenching at the same time.

I have no clue about the time frame, but the ABC clinic does about 20 - 30 Dogs and Cats per day. I had the boys microchipped too. It only cost me $170 for both with microchipping. It would have been $195 for just a neuter on one of my boys at our regular vet.

Let us know when you find out anything.

    HOLY CRAP, that's all?!

I got the preliminary bill when I dropped him off this morning. $448.00. That's for neutering, microchip, also a pain shot before and after the procedure as well as metacam to go home with. Whatever. I don't care, as long as he's OK.

    GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY!!

There is no way I could pay that much for that (Times 2). I am so glad that we have a low cost non-profit organization that does them here. I couldn't afford to have my 4 dogs and 4 cats if we didn't.

Oh, and I have noticed that they haven't really been in pain. They are licking some, but not enough to warrant a problem. I just correct when they try to lick and things are fine.

So they're not wearing the e-collars?

No, I bought them, but they haven't needed them. One "leave it" as they start works. Bo is more into licking himself than Luke is, but I just gave them chew toys and they are fine. They are trying to jump and stuff when they go outside on leash, so they don't seem to be bothered with it much. They wont be outside off leash until probably Saturday. Maybe Sunday depending on how they act.
