Defaultwhat size life jacket should i get?

i'm getting a life jacket for ginger and phoebe. i'm just not sure which size to get. phoebe (4 yr old rat terrier) weighs 13 pounds and 18 girth. ginger (14 months old) weighs 65-67 pounds and girth is 30. will she grow anymore?

this is the size chart. so what sizes do you think i should get for them. xsmall and large?? small and xlarge?

X-Small size for pets with a 15 - 19 inch girth and weight up to 18 lbs.
    Small fits dogs up 15 - 25 lbs. with a 19 - 24 inch girth.
    Medium fits dogs 25 - 50 lbs. with a 22 - 29 inch girth.
    Large fits dogs 40 - 70 lbs. with a 26 - 35 inch girth.
XLarge: 31 - 42 inch girth and weight over 70 lbs

x-small for your rat terrier, large for Ginger- even if she grows more (which she's likely to fill out some still) the 3 lbs to 70 will not increase her girth by 5 inches...I think its better that the life jacket fits than be too large. Just my 2 cents.

thanks! i was reading around and found a site that says to measure the girth and then add 2 inches. of all the sites i've been to it was the only one that said that.

i will go ahead and order a x-small and large.
