P.S. I'm trying to keep my sense of humor alive. I knew this was coming for Buddy. Just didn't know when.
Buddy and I seem to share medical issues. What happens to one of us seems to follow along to the other shortly thereafter. The vet said if she didn't see us limp in there together, she wouldn't have believed it. (I had a lot of trouble with my first one and was wearing a brace on my right leg when he had his right leg surgery done.)
The only thing not in both our histories is that I did not run head first into a moving car. Not yet, anyway.
Check out this list:
We both have several herniated discs in our backs.
He tripped me in Dec. '04 and I had to get knee surgery in my right leg Feb. '05. In July '05 he had his - right rear.
I had a growth removed from my right breast. He had 2 huge lipomas removed. 1 from each of his 'armpits'
I had fluid build up in my surgical area. Had to go in and have it removed w/syringe in office.
He had fluid build up in one of his lipoma removal areas. Vet extracted 4 syringes full of fluid in office.
I had 4 skin 'tags' removed in dermatologist office.
He had several lipomas removed in 2nd lipoma surgery within weeks of my procedure.
He had 2 root canals done on his lower canines after they were shaved down.
I had a dull toothache in a tooth that was root canaled yrs. ago. My teeth shifted with age and that tooth needed to be shaved down to avoid touching the one on the bottom when I closed my mouth.
I hurt my left knee right after Christmas '06. Had my surgery done 1-2-07. At the time I said it was his turn and I was afraid he was going to hurt his other (good) rear leg.
Sunday, May 27, 2007, he hurt his left leg and is getting surgery May 31, 2007.
Are we not meant for each other?
You would think this dog would hate going to the vet. He heard me tell one of my sons that I needed help getting him in the car and he hopped over to the front door to wait. Seemed annoyed that we were assisting him as he struggled to get up his ramp.
By the time I parked the car at the vet's he was whining from excitement. Couldn't wait to get there. Almost gave me a heart attack as he flew off the seat.
They confirmed the damage. Surgery is set for Thursday afternoon. I had to drag him out. He wanted to stay there!
So I won't have any more news until we get home that night.
Thank you all again for all the prayers, good wishes and moral support.
Don't know what I'd do without all of you.
Good luck to you and Buddy, Pam.

Oh, poor Buddy. Good thoughts for a routine surgery.
Thoughts and prayers here!
Good to see that the surgery is happening sooner rather than later. Buddy will be in my thoughts and prayers. ((Hugs)) to you Pam.
I'm sorry he needs surgery again but he'll be good as new when it is done. Sending good thoughts your way.
glad he is will be having surgery soon.
I guess it can be just a wee bit easier knowing that Buddy loves the Vets and isn't afraid to be there. Small consolation, I know.
We will be thinking of you and Buddy.
I didn't see your original thread so I don't know what the surgery is for.
Just wanted send prayers that it is successful and your baby recovers quickly.
Prayers going up for a very routine surgery and recovery period. Did they give him anything for pain until he has the surgery?

Sorry to hear it'll be surgery...but good to hear it'll be soon. Lookin' forward to good news of a routine surgery, and smooth recovery.
Lots of hugs to Buddy
