Just got back from the vet. Timber's temp was up to 105.3 this morning, so they said to bring her right in. Her bloodwork wasnt all that off. He gave her a shot to help bring down the fever and took the xrays today. He is 99% sure the cancer has metastisized (sp). There were a couple spots on her upper lobe and one on her lower, as well as two on her liver.
I could go through hundreds of dollars of testing, but after seeing some xrays of some other dogs that had lesions, I am pretty convinced. NOT what I wanted to hear, but not totally unexpected. So for now he gave her an atbx and an anti-inflammatory and wants to see her back in a couple weeks. (Or sooner if the fever doesnt stay down.)
I guess we need to start bracing ourselves for that day. :'(
I am sorry. Thanks for letting us know. Prayers and good thoughts for you and Timber.
