Since we got Sarah on Tuesday, I've been wondering about her coloring. What would you consider it to be? I did a search yesterday and came up with Fox Red. ??? Which only makes me more curious..... how do you get a fox red color? Since she's adopted, we have no idea of her background, where she came from, etc. She met my father-in-law yesterday and he now calls her "Cinnamon Sarah".
She is not a fox red. This is a fox red Labrador:
This dog is field bred.
Sarah is cute. Is she a mix?
Another fox red:
Ok, thanks Trickster. I kept looking at the dogs online, then looking at Sarah.. and thinking... hmmm ???
We were told by one of the techs at the vet that she's "supposed" to be a purebred yellow lab, but I have absolutely NO idea. :-\ We have no papers on her, can only just go by what they told us. Madison is supposed to be purebred too, but we're thinking something snuck in somewhere along the lines.
Any more pictures of her? what is her history?
She's just a darker shade of yellow. She's adorable! :-*

I'm going to take more picts of her today, she's napping right now Will take Sarah outside and try and get some good ones, front, side, etc The only thing I know of her history is what the tech told me Tuesday which is that the family that had her paid "something like $800 for her and decided to not keep her because their daughter was afraid of her". I did do a search on petfinder.com and found her picture. (she was dropped off Monday and we got her Tues after having Madison checked out at the vets office) and in the information it said she's 2-3 months old, and had lived with an 8 yr old girl. There's 3 picts of her there, you can go to petfinder.com and our zip code is 97814 and look up "Star" as that was her name before we got her. Even if she is a mix, it doesn't matter, I'm just glad we were able to get her.Originally Posted by Trickster
I did find a couple of picts on the camera taken yesterday afternoon and this morning.
This is one of my favorites
Their ears are so similar, so cute! ;D
No matter what color she is, pure or not, she is adorable! It will be interesting to see if her color changes as she grows.
All these cute pups are giving me puppy fever!!!
