The many good wishes, expressions of concern and prayers have certainly helped. After 12 days of unconsciousness our daughter has returned. She was still a little "out of it" when Sandro, her hubby, put her on the phone with me last night because Jamie wanted to say hi to Dad. Her voice was raspy and hard to understand. Sandro said her throat was very sore from the tubes she had.
The first thing I said to her was "It's nice to have you back, where did you go?" It was obvious that she was still under the effects of the anesthesia because Jamie rarely uses foul language but I did understand her raspy reply ... "I dunno but I want the F%$# out of here now!"
She still refuses to believe she's been there 12 days but does realize that she was a very sick gal. She keeps asking for her clothes and purse and wants to get up. She also knows that the road to recovery will depend a great deal on her living a more healthful existence without smoking and by taking care of herself better than she had been. Not many of us get that 2nd chance when we have a very close near-death experience.
Thank you again sincerely for your support and prayers.
Remi and Rusty aren't my whole life. They're trying to fill the hole in my heart left by Cappy's passing.
Thank You for answering our prayers for Jamie, Lord! ;D
Jim, continued prayers that Jamie has a full recovery, stops smoking, and lives many long and healthy years.

Music to my ears Thank you God for prayers answered.
Yes, God is good. I'm so glad she is on the road to physical recovery. I will continue to pray for her physical as well as mental recovery. That will probably we the hardest part in this road she on. She has to want to follow a more healthy lifestyle. That is a very hard thing to handle without a lot of desire and willpower. God bless.
