    DefaultAmazing Decoy Dogs!

Some of you may know of the Nova Scotia Toller that lures waterfowl into waiting hunters gun range by excitedly running up and down the shoreline to attract curious ducks and geese to swim closer to investigate.

Even fewer of you probably know that in the Northern Plains States and Western Canada, Labrador Retrievers are used (one at a time) to attract the attention of two or more hunting coyotes that will follow the Lab as it runs back to the hidden and waiting hunters.

I'd guess that none of you knew about the Moose decoying German Shepard dog that is used by it's master to bark at and attract a full grown bull moose into chasing it into gun range. Don't believe that? Wanna see proof? ...

Remi and Rusty aren't my whole life. They're trying to fill the hole in my heart left by Cappy's passing.

That's a Norwegian Elk Hound. I wonder if that's what they were bred to do?

Got it now lol, that was funny.
Our first dog was an elkie. They are crazy pups lemme tell ya. We nicknamed her the missing link, she was a wild child. When Jeffrey was born she decided this was HER baby and slept under his crib. When you went into the nursery you could hear her sniff the air(she couldnt see because there was a ruffle skirt thing on the crib) and if she didnt recognize your scent, LOOK OUT...you had 50 pounds of angry, crazy fur on you. Yet in our home, anyone could handle her, she was not aggressive, the kids used her as a pillow to watch cartoons, she would go to the bus stop and wait for the kids everyday. She was very protective.
We came home one time and found broken window glass in the dining room and the window wipe open, which was on the side of the house that no one could see...shielded by a lot of bushes, not well lit. They had smashed a window then reached in to unlock and climb through. We found the glass and a piece of denim material from the back of a pair of jeans...and a blood trail that led from the inside of the window, around to the back of the house and all the way down the back street to the corner.
So we know she mauled some burgler lol! The policeman who took the report wanted to keep her
