Kirkland canned has been recalled. The chemical Melamine has contaminated so much of the food recall. The Kirkland dry Lamb and Rice/chicken and rice has not been recalled, BUT the liner of the 40 lb bags of dry dog food we buy from Costco is lined with a waxy/plastic coating. Could this coating also be tainted?? Isn't Melamine found in plastic???
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.......it doesn't even have rice protein concentrate, corn gluten, wheat gluten, etc.
I'm still waiting for an official link to a site showing where it has been recalled (the canned stuff).
This was an update less than an hour ago:
Hang on a sec....I'll find you the website.Originally Posted by zoezoe

according to their website there is absolutely nothing to worry about.
BTW...TRADER JOE'S brand of canned IS NOT TAINTED or recalled. They voluntarily took their canned dog food off of their shelves for testing...it is now back on their shelves.
Yes, according to Heather, at the Costco national call center/ product information center for Kirkland signature products, Kirkland premium canned dog food has been recalled (it comes in Chicken and Rice, and Lamb and Rice on the same flat). She did not know what contaminate was in the food. The number to call to find out is 1800 257 4530.
This is the quote from the breeder's forum I got the info from.
The dry is not involved...just canned at this point.
