DefaultI guess he CAN be a guard dog!

I have often wondered about Tucker's skill as a guard dog...he loves EVERYONE, is SUPER friendly and doesn't have a mean bone in his body...leading me to wonder what kind of guard dog he REALLY is...when we have been out and in potentially threatening situations, I have seen him rise to the occasion, but I have wondered what would ruffle his feathers at home...I frequently have people in and out of the house and he always plays the part as the typical friendly, tail wagging lab (family, friends, delivery people, people working on the house, etc)...except for family and good friends, I never thought he could differentiate between people...last night, he reassured me he is STILL my protector...

I have been dating a new guy for about a month or so...he has met Tucker a few times and they get along great...last night he was coming over, I was busy with something upstairs so I told him I left the door unlocked and to just walk in....HOLY SMOKES - Tucker had a CONNIPTION! Tucker was RELENTLESS until I came downstairs and said "It's ok - it's _____"...then IMMEDIATELY, Tucker went back to his normal, playful lab self...I love my puppy!!

    Wow... good boy Tucker!!!

Isn't it nice to know they will most definitely be there when the need arises? I am sure your new beau may not see it quite that way, but you are secure knowing that Tuck will stand up!!!

    My pretty girl, Lexi!

Good boy Tucker!!! I personally would not have wanted it any other way.

It's not the destination, it's the journey!
