    Good Job Sam!!

I'm on day 1 with my puppy and boy is it hard to potty train! When I finally think I got the timing down, I quickly take it out of its crate to bring outside when it just stops in the middle of the hallway and SQUATS! What do I do??

I live on the second floor and it's a pretty long walk to get the dog down into the backyard. Is there a better strategy than constantly carrying the dog and running down there (twice in the middle of the night), for it to just walk around and stare at me cluelessly? Once he gets inside, he decides to go. arggg.

She also poops literally a minute after she eats.. is that normal? I don't even have enough time to run her downstairs because she runs to her spot right after she eats (infront of the tv) and just squats.

    Any tips?

    Run Faster!

Soon as she's done eating, run her outside. If you have to stand next to her while she's eating. I had to gate off all the areas Sam likes to go. Sam goes right after he eats too! So yes it's normal. You could also feed her in her crate, then you can immediately take her out after she's finished eating. Do you leash her when you take her outside? She might not realize you're getting ready to take her out if you don't. Sam knows the words 'potty' and 'outside' really well by now, but he's over a year.

Also your pup is young, she'll have accidents. Just remember when she has an accident don't scold her and you can always tell her "Well at least you're not as bad as that Sam-wise on JS!"

She's doing good, she's started acting a bit differently the other day. Sam tried to go into her crate with her and she snarled at him.

I sent you a PM the other day about her.

    least I think I did....

    Sam's on day 3 now!!
