I walked outside to check on Sam...this is what I see
I had moved the tie out when I mowed last and didn't realize I had moved it closer to the trampoline. Poor guy! Moved it back where he's tangle free now. He wasn't barking or crying or anything just looking around like...how da hell did this happen?
My Archie is wrapping himself around something constantly (no matter where I have the tie-out attached) I mean it can be a tree root sticking up an inch from the grass and he'll just stand there or lay down if he can, and just wait until I come to check on him (lucky for him I do that very often, especially when it's too quiet
Aren't we comfortable!
Couldn't see pic, but sounds adorable.
I don't like tie-outs, too dangerous.

That happens a lot with tie-outs, unfortunately!
I had the bright idea of using a tie out with Tal in the front yard here after we moved in in 2007. He kept getting tangled up so I quit using it because I had to stop and untangle him. Now he and Barney will either lie down by the fence facing the front or side, depending on where I am in the yard. Thankfully, I have a fenced yard! And I know you'll be glad when yours gets put in!

Oh Sam, Sam, Sam.
Hey one suggestion, have you thought about stringing a wire between two trees or poles etc. then have single line hanging down. A dog can run up and down the wire and doesn't get tangled up.
