DefaultI don't want to kill my Dog- HELP!!

I have the Nutro with Glucosamine for Adult dogs but it doesn't say anything on the internet about wether or not it is a recall. It is dry food. Can anyone help me, I am scared for my dogs health.
    Thanks.

I would check the Nutro site itself - there should be an 800 number too!

    I'm off to check myself.

they say on their site that no dry foods are affected at all because Menu Foods does not make them. I suppose we will see.

The other thing to keep in mind is that only the ingredient "wheat gluten" has been contaminated. Check your bag - does the food contain wheat gluten? If not, then you should be in the clear.

I feed mygirl Nutro Chicken, Rice and Oatmeal for Sensitive Stomach, I finally got to Nurto after being on hold for 45 min. and they told me they do not use wheat gluten in their dry food, they use corn gluten. Well I still worry, a company will say anythimg to save their ass and their place on the stock market!!!!

I am not sure anybody even reads these things fully. If they did there would be less panic.
Manufacturers are staying on top of this.

Even if your pet food contains wheat gluten it appears the wheat gluten that is suspect was sold to Hill's and used in their Rx Cat food.

In addition to the people who do not read thoroughly, many people do simply want to be extra cautious. They are still finding new foods that may be contaminated, as demonstrated by the new announcement that some treats may be affected. The affected wheat gluten was NOT just sold to Hill's, it is the SAME batch of wheat gluten as sold to Menu Foods. The one batch could be quite widely distributed. Given that wheat gluten is the affected ingredient, it makes sense for those who wish to be (possibly overly) cautious to avoid all pet products with wheat gluten in them until it is known for sure that those products are in no way affected.

I just wanted to add that alot of other message boards i'm on are flooded right now with concerned pet owners. Alot of them are switching to grain free kibble, homemade or raw.
