    Default2007 America’s Top 10 Dog Friendly Beaches

The non-stop obedience and unconditional love we’ve come to expect from our full time companions can be stressful. And although our companions never complain, they crave the sound of crashing waves, a good run or stroll in the sunset, tossing a Frisbee or football, the feel of sand beneath their paws, and playing chase with the waves as much as we do. So, here are ten great beaches we can all enjoy!

Fort Funston is about 45 minutes from me. But not an easy drive across the bridge and through the city of San Francisco, so we don't get there much. It is insanely fun, though, to watch the dogs crashing through the waves.

Fort Desoto is great. We go to one in Venice Florida regularly and love it.

Cool! We're about 2 hours from Wilmington... we'll have to take Zakk there this summer for a visit.

That would be great. We have the North End and Ft. Fisher, both require day passes or season passes, but it keeps them less busy. The North End is more crowded in the summer..Ft. Fisher is less..it's beautiful! We also have the Aquarium here too, in Ft. Fisher, it's pretty nice..we go a few times a year.
