Well, um, yes, it will change him. He won't have his dingle-berries anymore ;D

But seriously the BEST dog you can own is a neutered male. I love them. They are so stinkin' loyal. Honestly. I hope your boy feels better tomorrow, and he will.

I just went thru this with Tal. He was neutered on Wednesday. I had exactly the same question and now that all his meds have worn off he is doing great. He is still the same friendly, happy go lucky fellow he was before the surgery.

So far the absolute hardest part was not feeding im or letting him drink anything the morning of his surgery. I got this look from him like why arent you feeding me today? Don't you love me anymore?? I think that has been forgotten!

His personality will remain the same. That shouldn't change. Good luck and keep us posted.

Actually one thing it will change. As someone pointed out to me...he won't be going after the hotties anymore!

The two main changes I am aware of are: he won't go running off if there is the sent of female across town in 'heat', and he will be less likely to start a fight in casual social dog situations.

He should be feeling pretty good in a couple of days when the anesthetic has completely left his system.

I don't think you'll be disappointed (unless you were expecting puppies, )
