    DefaultOur newest Lab

We're pulling this guy from animal control today.

We're at least 10 dogs past full - but watching the list of 40-50 Labs that will lose their life in the Houston area this week - has been unusually painful. So, we rallied the troops and agreed to look for one or 2 more special cases that spoke to us.

Here’s one of the lucky guys.

Picked up a a Stray picked up with tags but cannot locate owner.
Called vet and vet said owner moved.
    Male Yellow Lab.
    Approx 4 years old.
    HW neg.
    Calm.
    Walks nicely on lead.
    Dog Friendly
    Appears Cat Friendly.
    BROKEN REAR LEG
    NOT NEUTERED

One of our volunteers is on her way to animal control right now and will drop him off at the surgeon's office this afternoon. I'll meet him at the surgeon's office to discuss what can be done for this guy.

Send your labby well wishes his way - he'll need them. Hopefully this will be an easy fix and he'll go on to live a healthy happy life.

I'll post info on special case # 2 tomorrow.

What a beautiful guy. To think his owners moved and left him behind is just heartbreaking. :'( How could someone do this?

Prayers that he heals quickly. I think you'll have no trouble finding a good home for that one. He's a hunk!
