UPDATE: I now know what Belle rolled in... rotten fish!! :-X As i have said we live in Canada, so i don't know whay i didn't think fish!
Icky... Belle rolled in something DISGUSTING the other day, it is not like anything i have ever smelt before, revolting. I live in Canada, so could it be a raccoon or something? Honestly, anyone else been in this situation?
P.S. The smell doesn't seem to be fading either!!
Could be skunk poo, Mickey did that once, and I'd rather get skunked in the face than ever smell that again.
Tomato soup with basil. I know it sounds weird, but it really works. Get two huuuuuuuge cans, like a price club size a piece. It's hell getting the basil out of their coats, but it gets the stink out.
My Ginger use to roll in deer poop. It really stinks! Also any dead decaying animal she could find.
It could be either of those three suggestions, because we were walking on a dike, so there was lots of stuff she could of rolled in, take your pick! I would like to think that Belle had more sense than to roll in a dead animal carcass, but with the equation lab+nature= adventures! I'm sure you all know what i mean, lol
eww!! good luck with that!
Thanks for that!! lolOriginally Posted by kvaler

hope you can get rid of the smell soon.
haha! honestly i dont know what to tell u. whenever any of our dogs got sprayed or rolled in dead animal, we just left then outside till they didnt stink anymore. it's the lazy way lol..
Fox poo has a pretty gross smell. Fox poop is the poop of choice for my dogs to roll in. :-X
The WORST smell ever would have to be a dead, rotting Badger. Unfortunately for me we were an hour's walk away from home when all four of my dogs had a go at rolling in it. Honestly, I have never smelt anything as bad in my life. They had to have full bathes and the collars/leads needed to be washed before they could step foot back into the house.
Can't beat a dab of poo behind the ears to attract the females !
( Oh and BTW I know that's not the real purpose )
