How you know you really love someone:
You are cuddling with them, and they shift abruptly to lick your face, causing their skull to crack you right above the eye. Which in turn causes an enormous black eye and swelling to rise up almost instantly.
And you just keep cuddling away because you know they didn't mean it, and you love them so damn much.
Labrador skulls are the hardest and sometimes thickest material known to man. I have been on the receiving end of many a head-butt. I have watched full bore collisions into walls or coffee tables and it doesn't phase them in the least.
The lab tail should also be registered as a weapon. I am still amazed at the force in which a lab tail can launch an item. The force for which an object can be thrown is proportional to its value.
The Constitution is suppose to guarantee everyone the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but the Constitution does not guarantee everyone equal outcomes.
Some people are more talented, educated, thieving and dishonest than others.
Oh dear, do I ever know that feeling! I usually get the headbutt in the nose or mouth. Owee!!
I've also seen Henery run full tilt into a wall or into furniture and it doesn't seem to bother him in the least!
Well, there is no question that Tess's skull is harder than my nasal bones - because she broke my nose when our heads collided and I don't think she even got a headache.
One of the hardest substances known to man
OUCH. I was told once that labs used their heads to break ice. My first lab would do that to go swimming in winter. lol
The hardness of their skulls is just incredible. I have first hand knowledge of this.

Can we have a picture of your eye? :P
Yep, Zoe has done that to my jaw (which caused me to bite my tongue). I try to keep my face away from her head.
I think Nance had a black eye from one of her boys.
